Take credit.

Beware! The following might make one question themselves. On the other hand, it might be too abrasive for those who are sensitive to the questions that will be asked.

Since I was about 17, I would hear people say, “I’ll pray for you...”. To me, it was akin to saying, “The check is in the mail!”. In other words, they didn’t do jack and they weren’t going to either. That one phrase taught me a lesson in human behavior indeed. Please don’t pray for me, send cash; it is far more useful.

A lot of tragedy has happened in the human experience. After much study, I’ve concluded that people need to better understand the option that, the will of people is strong. We all face options, choices each and every day we draw air into our lungs. With choice comes responsibility. If one makes a poor choice, that person gets to pay the price; at least that's what I’ve been taught. I don’t get to hide behind a theory that I get a do over. (Conscience wont allow it. Nor mans' law.) I may be forgiven, but the penalty will be there in some form or another.

I’ve grown very tired of the phrase “It’s gods' will...”. I also question those who go through life with the idea that god gets the credit for the good and not the bad. When in the hell are people going to start taking responsibility for their actions? Not to mention calling god out for screwing up. Where was this god when the hill slid due to the rain; the reign of god was pitiful and weak. All powerful? Then why are people talking about suing people, god can’t be sued last I checked.

I do something that many appreciate and some suggest I get no claim or credit for it because it was gods' will? I do something wrong, heinous, horrific and it is, at the very least, my will...or demonic possession? That is a rigged game if you ask me. It sets people up to forever feel less than. In some circles, that is an abusive, dysfunctional relationship.

I’ve heard and read stories about how god teaches people lessons. OK, well let's look at that for a moment. That really long book tells stories of gods' vengeance that wipes out large sections of a population of sinners. Yet nobody -NOBODY- ever suggests that after a “tragedy” (flood, fire, etc.). Why is that? If it was gods' will, well, then all the victims are sinners? You do the math.

Perhaps with the whole “gods' will” logic, every time there is a mass killing/tragedy/ weather related disaster, it is gods' will/plan to wipe out that section of the population. There is written history of such claims. It is a logical conclusion if the logic is in play. What? No, can’t be? I don’t get it. Stands to reason that some people who have fallen were believers in a faith of some sort. Sadly, faith didn’t protect them from being buried alive. Did it? Where was this god when the hill slid?

The "gods' will" logic leads to the conclusion that god was watching the amount of rain that night in Oso. WA. An all knowing god. An all loving god could never bury the faithful alive, or could It? ("It" being god. I‘m not gender-biased on the concept.)

The tragedy of the recent, massive mudslide in Oso, WA is truly horrific. Some might suggest, of Biblical proportion. People are already making noises that it was, in part, the result of mans' mismanagement of the hillside logging practices. Well how about the enormous amount of rainfall? Where was this god? Was the rain mans' will as well? Was that a result of mans' pollution? (That suggests a climate change argument.) I heard the other day, “It was gods' will...” and that the ever famous cliché that the victims “have gone to a better place”. Yeah? Really? Says who? Humans, that who. I didn’t hear from the shrubs outside the door.

Unless, of course, one thinks that god speaks to us through people. What people, I wonder? And how do they get direct connect with god anyway? Is it a lottery? Because that burning bush just doesn’t seem to have the connection all that often. Many have left messages yet to be returned. Maybe the voicemail is full?

Think about this for a moment: if I said that god speaks to me and I hear Its' word, many would have me committed. Or, I could start a cult and hope for tax exemption. Or, I could use it as a defense for the murder of sinners. Yeah, I’ll hang for it (at least in Washington State ya hang for murder most of the time (unless you’re a cop)).

Americans scoffed at the idea that Allah had anything to do with the attacks on 9/11. They were quick to agree, in their outrage, that those who believe in jihad were obviously insane, religious zealots. How is it any different than those who continually promote the concept, “It’s gods' will...”?

I find it personally insulting to bring god into the discussion of what has happened in the human bungling that has gone on forever. I find it personally insulting to not give credit where credit was, and is obviously due. Take pride in your accomplishments. Take responsibility for your errors. By the way, taking responsibility is something one can take pride in. Knowing that, I’m grateful. Grateful to all those who have crossed my path; yeah, grateful to all. Without you, I wouldn’t have learned these lessons.

My condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the history of the earth. May the world know peace.

Privacy?

I truly wonder how anyone can expect privacy if they are on the internet. For those of us who grew up pre-interweb, cell/text/ e-mail, we had a certain amount of privacy which is now lost. Lost due to database storage capabilities. Lost due to the ever growing reliance on the electronic format for communications and commerce. Lost due to peoples’ willingness to belch out all the little details of their daily existence without any care who sees it.

I like the idea of privacy (as I’m sure many do). Over the years, I’ve noticed that privacy is often confused with what most might call discretion. Being on the internet and demanding privacy seems incongruent...especially when there is so little use of discretion.

One thing I know about privacy is this: if only you know what you did, then it is private. Otherwise, you have to introduce the idea of trust, along with discretion. When alone with my thoughts, only I know what I’m thinking. If those thoughts spill out on paper or into a computer, they are subject to discovery.

True privacy is a rare animal. I don’t take those all that seriously who clamor about the “right to privacy” as the squabble about it on the web. It is akin to somebody complaining about burning themselves with a lit match.

You want private, stay off the web. Ditch your mobile device. There are other things one can do that go further, that would ultimately lead to living off the grid, so to speak. I don’t think the general population has the desire to live off the grid. There is a certain comfort in knowing those around you and the patterns they keep.

True loners are a rare breed. If one loner pairs up with another, then, of course, they are not loners any more, are they? This elusive thing called privacy, what does it actually mean? Well rest assured it isn’t here. The answer, that is, here on the web. The web reminds me of the old saying... “Those who live in glass houses ought not throw stones.”

There are no secrets on the web. The delete button is great when you work offline on an isolated system not connected to the world. But once the system is connected, the user has invited all the prying eyes to visit, welcomed or not. The once isolated system is forever corrupted. That pesky binary code has a long reach.

Face it: We don’t have privacy now and never actually did. Never underestimate the insidious nature of illusions. They have held nations together for centuries. Alas, illusions are weaker than the truth. As they are stripped away, so will the instability be stripped away.

As L. Frank Baum. wrote... “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.”

Meth heads, everyone loses.

A little over a year ago the neighborhood I grew up had a shift. An original owner of a modest house (1000 sqf) died and the house was sold quickly. It happens that it sits next door to the house I grew up in. Yes (the house I grew up in) is still occupied by family members.

The new neighbors moved in and within two weeks I sensed trouble. After about sixty days low and behold the place had been reduced to a dumping ground. There were little kids for the first two months, they have been long gone but the house was filled at all times with people. I saw the pattern heavy police traffic at all hours. People coming and going for those quick visits at all hours. One broke down vehicle after another.

I said it then, these people are either cooking or distributing -possibly both- Meth. At first the locals kind of shrugged and said... “Oh well nothing we can do.” First HUGE mistake.

Now the place is trashed inside and out. The Tweakers are supposed to be out of the place but they come and go still. They ignore the eviction orders. And what does the actual owner of the house say about it? “Oh he’s (Lead Tweaker) is my son he has some problems but it’s not that bad.” Well there is one part of the problem. The biggest problem that took forever to get people to own up to is, “Hey these people are ingesting a chemical that is known to make people very dangerous.” Hence 7 cops with guns drawn at various times. Traipsing thru the neighbors yards. (Uhhh, I don’t like hearing distressed phone calls from my Mother about multiple cops tromping thru her property. Who would?)

I’m asked to tolerate people who are sick. To treat them with kindness. To be understanding to their needs. OK. Well lets flip the script. “If” said sick individual is causing others pain and suffering, to people around them. Tell me again why I should tolerate the sick individual? Much less accept them. How about the needs of those these idiots target?

People know the dangers of Meth. Yet they do it. I suspect that many know going into the first hit that they are playing a dangerous game... Yet they choose to do it. They choose to do it. I faced many choices in my time -still do- yet I choose to not disintegrate my brain with Meth.

To say hey it’s no big deal sounds about as smart as me trying to defend the use of tobacco. I don’t even bother. I know how absurd it sounds. I smoke. It’s bad for me. I still like it, I have no desire to quit, hence I do it. The Meth head is not much different when you break it down. They like the high they continue to do it. Key component here is my camels don’t sizzle my brain into madness.

When will our society go back to treating the rabid diseased animals as threats to the safety of others? When? Why do people wait until things escalate to an out of control situation? If you bring up the rights of the sick individual be advised, I think that is a total cop out. Why? Potential victims of Tweakers have rights also. One is the right to not be a victim.

I’ll be very clear on this point... Tweakers, Meth heads beware I have no tolerance for such behavior. It’s an inexcusable behavior with no excuse what so ever. None. If Tweakers want to sizzle their brains into a paranoid schizophrenic mess, that’s “their” choice. I and many I know chose to not cook our brains. However Mr. Tweaker you are not going to bring your sickness to my front door. Tolerating these people only encourages them. Stop encouraging them with excuses such as “It’s a disease. They have personal issues. They had an unloving home life. Etc. etc. etc.”

Spare me any addiction preaching, such as addiction is a disease. I‘m fully aware of the dogma of Bill W & Friends.

I for one refuse to molly coddle and/ or reward Meth heads behavior with anything such as tolerance and/ or acceptance of such dangerous behavior. So to those who wonder and might be wondering if I have some sort of solution? I do. I wonder if the society has the political will?

Eliminate the need for the black market/ subculture underworld lifestyle. It obviously has not been working. Keeping all the narcotics illegal hasn‘t been keeping all these dangerous drugs from being around. An enormous waste of funding in law enforcement and the prison systems. Keeping these drugs illegal certainly has not kept them out of the hands of minors. The government needs money... Well here it is.

I suspect that there will be an endless supply of people who will gladly continue to consume the chemicals. Why not make bank off of it? Why not let those who think it’s fun or cool go fire up, shoot up, light up or snort up until their little hearts are content. Every generation is and will continue doing it anyway. Drug use and or addiction is not going away. I repeat this simple fact... Drug use and or addiction is not going away.

I have ranted about this before.

I know, I know I have ranted about this before... I will attempt to leave out the colorful expletives.

If people would just pay attention to the operation of their heavy objects that roll on wheels well...

Hey douche waffles get off your stupid phone. (sPhone) You might actually get home safely to your silly stick figure group of people you have pasted on your rear window.

When lights turn green that means apply pressure to that pedal under your right foot. You know the one, the narrow one to your right. NOT to continue staring off into space while flapping your gums on your sPhone. (Most likely about how traffic sucks.) You look foolish and cause others to get unruly. Very possible the sPhone is the cause of many a road raging incidents. Ever think of that you maroon?

No you’re not that important, you really aren’t the only person out there on the roadways. I know, that people make excuses for behaving poorly. Let little child have unmatched socks it’s not the end of the world, (we have already passed that date anyway.)

I know I sound very impatient. Well maybe, just maybe it’s because I’m out there as well. No stick figures on the back of my carpool. No cute yellow sign that says “Baby On Board.” I would however sport a sign that says “Live Cargo On Board.” That makes much more sense and is not nearly as discriminating to the rest of the living creatures that are in vehicles. “Baby On Board” is not a pass to drive like an Idget.

Part two... Figure out where you’re going before going. Get some fricken map skills under control so that you can control your heavy object on wheels without having to watching a mini T.V. either stuck to your windscreen, or on the dash. Worse yet a stupid app on the sPhone because you somehow think you can manage to drive while watching T.V. at the same time. You can’t! You’ve just been lucky thus far.

No, no, no. (Shaking my cranium side to side) It is all to simplistic of an approach to think that the self absorbed are even going to take any of the above concerns seriously.

If one must poke fun at this... Might I suggest you do it from your sPhone whilst driving. Yes that might be best.... Better yet! Only copy and paste then share this whilst driving in heavy high speed traffic. “If you really care about your loved ones you will copy and paste this while going over 35 m.p.h.”

Think about it you could be a nation wide famous personality! Your face plastered all over billboards and P.S.A. ads on T.V. about how to NOT drive like an absolute idiot. But hey if you don’t care about others by all means continue just being the anonymous douche waffle you currently are.

Unicorns are just as mythical as a gun free world.

I'm sick and tired of the term "assault weapon." Why??? I have a club that can kill. If I use it properly I get charged with "assault with a deadly weapon" correct?

Hence the term "assault weapon” defining only certain types of "weapons" is insulting. The wording could eventually apply to any innocuous object. (Of course after a massive contrail checkerboard spray comes down after harp has sent radio, microwaves into the air from Alaska. Then most likely the inquisitors at the FEMA camps, after my relocation would call my teeth a deadly weapon...) Ahh yes you see I digress yet again. Whoops! I forgot I'm using logic in my language, something that most fear mongers don't. Geeezum Crow fear mongers and their twisting of words to fit their unicorn agenda... (Uhhh, that goes for all sides of the circle of mythological believers...)

Unicorns are just as mythical as a gun free world. The president is not in a seat of power that can actually... “Can not” actually threaten your privately held possessions.

Oh! And another thing if you need more than three shots to stop the mythological boogy man, you need to be subjected to “gun control training” because if you miss three times you obviously have no “gun control.” It means you simply suck at shooting. Which makes a very dangerous gun owner, you scare the crap out of people.

You're the idiots that have those pesky little accidents known as "stray bullets." Hey a-hole put leash on those bullets so as to not have any stray bullets, get some fricken gun control, hit what you aim at. If you can't! You don't deserve to own a gun. Gun owners who can't hit what they aim at are a menace to society. If you suck at shooting, please give up your weapon before you shoot somebody's loved one across the street.

If your idea of home protection dictates your need for four clips fully loaded, you suck... on so many levels. You’re the reason people are demanding more gun regulations don’t you get it? It’s your paranoid delusions that keep this ridiculous argument going and going.

Quit living in fear. It just looks pathetic. That goes for everybody.

*GUNS No GUNS*

Good, bad, responsible, irresponsible, too many bullets, not enough bullets, assault weapons, sporting weapons, “A well regulated militia...” One man militia stock piled to the hilt. An armed citizenry will stop tyranny. Less regulation, more regulation, tragedy, self protection. How long would it take to obtain a new gun with a paper trail? How long does it take to obtain a gun in a private sale with no paper trail? Lock them up, trigger locks, keep them loaded and at the ready in the night stand, accidental discharge, planned attacks, post guards, arm teachers, open carry, concealed carry, hydra shock, full metal jacket, hollow point, buck shot, bird shot, Bambi does not wear Kevlar. Shoot to stop, shoot to kill, aim low, aim high, don’t shoot until you see the whites of their eyes. If you own a gun you’re crazy, if you own a gun you’re prepared, if you own a gun you’re asking for trouble, if you own a gun you’re safe from trouble. I’m not the problem it’s the crazy people that are the problem, I’m different... End gun violence, guns don’t kill people, people with guns kill, if there were no guns we no longer have gun violence, end the violence, end the senseless killings, better mental health background checks. Lone gunman, conspiracy, massive new world order plots. Sue the gun makers, sue the gun owners, (it’s getting near end...) if you own a gun or two or more... Whoopty Fricken Zippity Doo Dah Day. Relax the gun new world order police will not find you.

Exhausting isn’t it... What if all this energy in this circular debate (that will not have a conclusion) was put into ending hunger? Health care reforms? Education? Energy reform? Housing? Or??? How about peace? Your choice.

If you want to argue with me about guns from either side... “Get off my lawn.” I got others things to do with my energy. For starters the birds need something in their feeders.

Family Values...

"If" somebody came to me and described new neighbors as an "unfortunate circumstance" I would happily advise the whiners to move... I'll help them load up a truck.

A couple moving into a community that has caused no harm is hardly an "unfortunate circumstance." Unless of course the existing residents have no tolerance for the world around them. Now that is an “unfortunate circumstance” indeed.

Indeed, what to do to protect some good old fashioned values, such as acceptance, the golden rule, love thy neighbor etc. etc.

As for people smoking weed, well I'll tell ya' what... I would rather new neighbors smoked weed as opposed to being belligerent drunken loud a-holes. I've had enough of those neighbors. If the neighbors happen to be pot smoking homosexuals I don't have any problem with that.

Well then because I disagree with others I suppose that makes me a bigot, jerk, prude, commie, right-wing, left-wing nut-job, neo-con, or whatever other colorful name others can come up with. An "unfortunate circumstance" as a description of new neighbors while waving the "Family Values" banner is not something I agree with. I don't accept it.

I don't accept judgmental hatred either. If that makes me a hater so be it. I’m sick to death of the "Family Values" battle cry. Sick of it. It’s mostly B.S. used to prop up dysfunctional screwed up a-holes that are anything but.

They spew the term to give the impression that they are upstanding pillars in a community. Heaven for bid that diversity be introduced that’s when the yammering about good old fashioned "Family Values" comes out, whatever that is supposed to mean. One family’s set of values does not make it so for another. I know, I know I outed myself already as a hater. As I pointed out I don’t agree with others so it makes a... Whatever other colorful name needed, _______.

Step up, or shut up.

“If one can’t own their mistakes how can they possibly own their success?

I’ve found a common denominator in a type of person that drives me bonkers... (Well at least until I show them the door.)

They want to be in charge/ control of others and have zero ability to take accountable for their own actions. They take no responsibility for their behavior. When they make a mistake or worse, if failure happens... They cry, “I’m a victim, it’s not my fault, I didn’t do it, blah, blah etc. etc.” You know the type are you one those pathetic people?

They expect everything handed to them with no effort at all. Fortunately I have gotten much better at seeing thru this facade over the years. They have no guts, yet want all the glory. I dare say the only worse characteristic they exhibit is their ability to ride coat tails.

If one can’t own their mistakes how can they possibly own their success? Take some fricken pride in thinking, doing and being yourself. It‘s far, far more attractive.”

Stay Wretched...

"Skullduggery is the best thing to use. The ignorant wretches don't know anything else. Communicate to them at their level much like any parent worth his or her weight in salt would do. If they choose to stay wretched, well it's their soul adrift in the gutter... Let them be washed out to sea. Bottom feeders need to eat just like anybody else."

DING!!! Next please.”

Thoughts as the voice droned on and on: ‘OK, OK, sometimes when you realize that you just don't give a fuck. You take some time, back up and even then you say eff it.’

I tend to question what it is exactly I’m saying eff it to. Then it hit...

All I heard was what the problem was, no solutions, or possible solutions, not a remote idea for any solution, just the yammering of the obvious, a repetitive yammering of what the problem is. Then it hit...

Response to the caller: “It's not that I don't give a fuck about the problem. I just don't care anymore to hear what the problem is. I am only interested in hearing about possible solutions. So it's not that I don't give a rats arse or whatever... I’m just done listening to people who have the regurgitation function down to a dismal boring science. DING!!! Next please.”

A pleasant exchange of farewell within in milliseconds so beautifully followed.

A phone call that was almost as good as... Ooo la, la it was divine. Mmmm must smoke now. /;->

Whiners Suck.

"I've grown tired of hearing people say 'Getting old sucks.' Why? Well lets think about it for second or two or three if you're younger.

From the moment you're born guess what... You are getting older. Now that being said one could conclude that your entire lifetime sucks. (Talk about buzz kill.)

Here is another way to think about it. I would like to know exactly (or somewhere close to the neighborhood) what is getting old being compared to? Is there an alternative?

When I hear... 'Getting old sucks.' I have often wondered if those who died very young would agree with the whining of the older whiners who have lost appreciation for the privilege of continuing to get older?

No getting old doesn't suck. Bitching about getting old to others now that just blows. If you're not getting older you are dead. I'm currently of the mindset that dead sucks.

Getting old is a privilege stop complaining about it. Or... Get off my lawn."

20 years ago... does anyone recall?

Hey all. Do you recall twenty years ago? We were in a recession... Remember that twenty years ago George Bush and Dan Potato were in the White House? It was all their fault that the country was in the tank. (That’s what we heard all the time.) We had been at war with Iraq. The republicans were the cause of all the nations’ problems. They raised taxes after promising not to raise taxes. “Read my lips...”. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Any self-respecting republican should never forget that fat lie, or learn to read lips.

Then, after a three way race for president, we got Bill Clinton and Al Gore for the next eight years. The third party idea was to blame for Clinton getting elected.

Then it was eight years of paranoid delusions of Bill Clinton taking the nation into a socialist/communistic regime. The Brady bill passed. The family leave act was signed into law. The President got a B.J. in the oval office. The president lied under oath. White Water went out to sea. And, oh yeah, the nation came out of the trillion dollar economic hole and ended up in the black for the first time in decades. All sorts of things seemed brighter.

Then the race in 2000 started up with all sorts of blustering about how the democrats were taking us down a path of destruction. Who did the voters like best? Who got the nomination for the GOP? A born again murderer! A man who proudly fast-tracked the death penalty in his home state. This was a selling point. -Seems to me it’s mostly “Pro-Lifers” that are for the death penalty. Think about that logic for a moment...- I digress.

Bush Jr. is appointed and surrounded by many of the same people from Daddy’s four years. Things seemed strange and surreal. Then, that day, 9/11. Well everything changed and we heard things like “evil-doers”. B-52 air strikes against Afghanistan, then ground troops. The fourth amendment was raped. Then Iraq wouldn’t comply with the U.N. sanctions and, suddenly, they had weapons of mass destruction. Air strikes, then ground troops. Spend, spend, spend.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, magical loans were being dreamed up. -While the infrastructure was/is crumbling. People earning 30k a year were buying homes that were sold for people earning 60k a year. No worry, balloon payments will make everything alright. Bit by bit, we were hearing that things were not going good for businesses, as the administration kept waging war and telling folks at home get out there and spend, spend, spend.

Oh my, something was coming and people were acting like things were going to be OK. Then, in 2008, the domino’s began falling one by one. Slow at first, then faster and faster and, well you know the rest. Ahem! All under a republican administration mind you. (I know, I know...that was so long ago and none of it is relevant today. Not to mention that the current president was on watch when the head chief “evil doer” was finally caught and killed. Mission actually accomplished.) I digress yet again.

So tell me again why I should begin trusting the Republicans? Is their track record that fantastic? This does go to my theory of “the forever argument...”. (Please make note of where and what’s going on this year.) Lets see where we are 20 years from now. I’m betting a shiny new dime it will be ‘bout the same. Different faces, different social issues ( I hope, damn, I truly hope, different social issues...).

I suppose it comes down to this...

As long as we continue to not face the day and only keep looking to tomorrow instead of long term, hoping for the fantasy of happily ever after, while forgetting the past, well, you know the old adage about being doomed to repeat it. Personally, I think that has been the problem in the landscape. People don’t want to think too far ahead and are to quick to dismiss the past. Hence, here we shall go again. I hope to your god, that we collectively find the answer that ends this repetitive madness.

Will end on this...

A child puts their little hand on a hot stove and gets burned. A child learns from the mistake and is careful to not let it happen again. We, as adults, need to remember that lesson. Or, at the very least, quit bitching about getting burned each day.

you decide

“Sad and lonely are those who define themselves by who they are with. Let alone by the possessions that surround them.

What the hell happened to peoples thinking?

I still don’t see the point of high school. Unless one was looking to higher education in some university... I am surprised by the right wing and their support of it. Don’t they see the work force could start much younger? There must be a reason.

There was/ is very little encouragement to go into anything to do with the arts. [at any level of the school system. More importantly art programs have been systematically stripped in the last thirty years.] I always wondered about why those Debbie & Daniel Downers in the profession of "teaching" were so seemingly unhappy. I asked one once in high school...

“Are you so down on my ambitions because you ended up as a suburban high school teacher? Or is it that you just like to piss on anyone’s ambitions that seemingly leave you in the dust?” His response was at best an elementary basic failed attempt at being pompous. Even his attempt at arrogance was comical. His obvious lack of originality was very evident. Maybe I seem harsh. Well if one is going to lie to me they had best be prepared for my retort. The particular instructor mentioned above was at best the emotional equivalent that of a twelve year old child. He was one of many. Despite there pretty framed parchments with lovely scribbles with dates going back to the Eisenhower era.

Of course the ridicule and harassment as a student began in the first grade. [It was not limited to high school] So called teachers treating students as their emotional and physical punching bags. -Or worse... yes much worse.- I just lacked a vocabulary to challenge the grade school instructors. By Jr. high school I had developed a vocabulary, yet was still honing my rapier wit. Of course along with the wit came the wrath of some instructors. -Yes I do know what a fire door with my blood tastes like after being flung against more then one.-

I suppose many will argue that high school was great/ is great. I still think it was for the most part a huge waste of time. The game was over for me. I saw that the basics were covered. I also noted that high school was representing more of a social gathering. Along with class time mixed between social lessons. Clicks taught lessons of how to rip people apart behind their backs. A formidable training ground for the corporate shark life.

Think about the non-sense they [teachers/ administrators] peddled about permanent records. It was one of many tools of manipulation. Especially how that piece of parchment with some calligraphy and dates was going to be your key to success. News for ya’ the files are tossed after you leave the system. If in fact there were any files to begin with. With perhaps the exception of grades.

So if I seem/ sound cynical, well I can point out that I get very cynical and dismissive with any institution that lies. The entire basis that the faculty -most mind you not all- works from is that kids are stupid and that teenagers are stupid. Filling them with lies is a perfectly acceptable practice. It happens all the time. To this very day. My generation, your generation, the generation from behind, and those about to retire on our dime have continued this egregious perpetration against the youth of this grand country.

First lie... “You can do anything you put your mind to.” Oh yeah? Really? Well what if the student wants nothing to do with the structure and wants to explore a road less traveled? Students are told... No you can’t do it that way. No you need to be realistic in your goals. No college is not for you. No music is no goal for you. No. No. No. No. Only if a student marches in lock step with the workforce training program will they hear yes.

Understand this... Employers rarely look to see if one graduated high school. I suppose I sensed that they were feeding me a line to intimidate me into completion. Well I did finish the 12 years, I just did it on my terms at the end. Felt good to pay some tuition to the community college up the road and get the sacred parchment with pretty scribbling on it. It was then that I began to understand that... Wait for it... WE PAY THEM. They are working for you and I. Not the other way around.

All the stupid head games were useless. The stupid people games public school teachers play on kids/ teenagers. I say stupid because the majority of public school teachers are full of crap. They were then and they most certainly are now.

The hold up for a graduation from high school was going to be based on “elective credits.” So in other words I met all the state requirements for my smarts, and electives were going to hold me back? Pure stupidity. Especially since there were no electives that were of any interest. So the logic is to sit in a course that will offer very little. The course would only further support the idea that high school is a waste of time. Hence my leaving the high school game.

I encourage leaving the public system if one wants to. I encourage getting that piece of paper as early as possible and get the hell out of a system that has been rotting at the core for a long time. Graduate as soon as possible. Give up some out of date tradition of marching in lock step with classmates. Get moving as opposed to getting lost in the herd. Where is it written that one has to stay inside the system until age 18? It’s a myth. All the societal mythology that high school is fun and all the "sis boom bah" is needed to make a complete life foundation. Bollocks. It's not for everyone.

The public system of education is in dire need of an overhaul. So much wasted time. Students that fail all of their courses are moved along with regularity. Someone somewhere got the insane notion that being held back has a stigma. There is no stigma connected with out running the systematical formula of trudging along until one is 18. If a student can get a jump on getting out, by all means get the hell out!

Failing however has a stigma that is real. However if the result of failing is moving along with the heard to the next level. The stigma, or message is that this is all lies. You don’t need to get good grades. You just need to act pathetic. Claim emotional hardship and the system moves students along until a certain age and one bright sunny day in June they’re out.

Failing classes is of no never mind because that same group of instructors with tenure that allows this criminal fraud of education, are getting their pensions while the student struggles in some service industry. The students dreams of a successful adult life are shattered. Smashed right before their very eyes. One could blame the breeders. One could blame the public school system. One could blame the student. Well think about it for a minute. What institution allowed failure to be rewarded with regular, successful advancement? Not the Parent. Not the student. Get the picture.

The students that were pushed along and rewarded with their failings, will fail out in society. A society that is profit driven. Then one day they will feel the sting of failure. The sting of being “Dismissed... So to broaden their horizons elsewhere...” The sting they should have felt upon the initial failures in school. That is where they should have had the opportunity to broaden their horizons. Again I ask who do you or does one blame? The Parent/ parents? The student? The public system that promoted advancement as a reward for failure?

The public system that promoted advancement as reward for failure, is off the hook. They wait till the student reaches 18 then tosses them to the lions much like the Romans once did.

So now a young person is of legal age to vote. Pays taxes from a minimum wage check that has a portion going to pay the very same institution that failed them in a most deplorable manner.

Now poof! As if by some strange mystical stardust magical moment the person is grown and feeling useless as an adult. -Useless and desperate. A perfect recipe for the pharmaceutical companies mixing up the drugs for depression.- All of this is going on everyday.

What the hell happened to peoples thinking?

When did thinking and speaking out against an institution become so difficult?

Why is the school system such a bloody sacred cow?

If it were up to me. I would propose a big fricken barbecue with a main course of sacred cow on each and every plate. Bring your dog along to chew on the bones.

To all the young breeders out there... Start saving your nickels and dimes and don’t let your offspring get sucked into the very system that is ‘dumb-ing’ down our society. Spare them the lies of how it all is for the better that they go along with the crowd.

If public school is the only alternative, teach them to challenge the entire fraud. Be brave be strong and never, never ever lie to the offspring they will turn on you one day. With a fury fueled by their realization of the fraud.

It would be of little sadness to see the public school system burnt to the ground. Fire purifies and “We” can start anew. Sadly the sheep have no political will to consider nor bother with it. A victory the public school system swims in with orgasmic delight. AND... you and I pay these people without much question.

We’re not a classless society. There is an aristocracy. The aristocracy permeates every institution. What better institution to control then the public education system.

To Promote such idealism as “No child left behind... Goals 2000...” within these plans a much more docile less rebellious populist will flourish. That being said, the class division can get wider. The bureaucratic red tape ever thicker. All masked of course behind the illusions of freedom.

Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. Freedom to elect representatives. Ever look carefully at who is elected? The elected are bought and sold. Much like the union heads and their rank and file in the public education system. The profiteers in public education support the public education system as it is. [There are ever fainter voices from within the institution known as the public education system. Fainter voices that are desperately seeking help, or reforms.]

It is to the elected officials advantage to support the system that teaches/ preaches conformity. You pay for the elected as well.

I still don’t understand high school not then, not now.

United We Stand, Divided We're Failing.

Well the politicos are gearing up. A running mate has been chosen by the GOP hopeful for 2012. The blustering and chest pounding will be as it always is. Both sides will boast that they are the righteous one and the other has a plan that will lead to ultimate disaster. Fear mongering at it’s best.

Extreme points of view will be pointed out by each side. Both sides will make fantastical claims that they can fix “it!” Be ready to listen to the words... “We can fix it... BUT only with your help.” Please note that neither side will stipulate whose help they need they will say with “your help.” That means everybody’s help.    “Everybody...”     United we stand, divided we're failing.

If the nation remains divided forget about fixing things.  Forget it.   Look at recent history... How much has changed for the better in the last decade? This is not a tough history assignment. Especially for those over the age of say 25. (I say 25 for arguments sake.)

As a nation we are/ were given daily reports to remain calm. Unless of course there was some sort of amber alert. Then of course we were/ are told to be vigilant. Vigilant for what?

Well it could be any monstrous image one could draw from childhood imagery to some sort of a apocalyptic religious sacrifice.

Question are we not still here? Still here fussing from day to day, about how the other side doesn’t understand and how our side is better if only the other side would listen?

I have wondered about these things often... remember Y2K??? Uhhh??? ( Do you feel a bit foolish bout’ now if in fact you were one of those who bought into that theory?) You shouldn’t.  Just understand and hopefully learn that hype is used all the time to evoke... Profit.

“True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.” Kurt Vonnegut said that. I shall take it one step further.

“It’s true terror to wake up one morning to find that your peers didn’t learn a God Damn thing from the previous generations mistakes. Instead they welcomed the same insanity that has lead us to the here and now.” CJH

To me, that illustrates absolute apathy, ignorance and an absolute willingness to continue the insanity to pass along to the next generation. That is true terror. Shame on you all who ignored and continue to ignore the past. More importantly while you piss and moan about the present.

I can espouse hope and give off the words that sound lovely... Or I can rummage around in the historical closets that have dusty old notions of truth.  Truth???  Truth is a commodity that is not in large supply amongst humans who have little nor any trust of others. Lies by omission half truths seems to be the norm. Human nature is not changing much.

There are those who think they can lead. There are those who wish they could lead, and there are those lining up outside the doors looking to be lead. Lead into an utopian dream like fantasy of ecstasy.

Truth is like it or not, “We all breathe the same air...” JFK In that air there those who draw each breath with only the idea of window dressing, a fantasy of what tomorrow might bring.

It is always much easier to look to the horizon, and complain about the moment at hand. I think that the moment at hand is much easier to deal with shoulder to shoulder. Not wagging fingers and screeching at the neighbor across the fence.

Of course I still have some idealism for the human, then again that is wearing thin. Perhaps my cynical side has had too much time to grow?

I truly wonder if the “United States of America” will ever truly unite despite what side wins?

Put On / A Conversation With An Assassin

You voted... You elected them... Your fault.

If we are a government for the people and by the people, why do so many blame those elected by the people? Lets get real and get accountable for our actions as individuals in this so called united land.

Nothing is fixed overnight with a swoosh of a pen. Sometimes working together means having to work along side somebody you may not agree with, however the goals are the same in the long run.

I have grown so very tired of the, gimme, gimme, gimme, and I want it now mind set that seems to permeate this young country. You’re setting yourself up for a let down.

Look at who gets elected, look at who voted for them. AND ya’ all wonder why this united country is so fricken polarized?

So this Nov. a big deal is supposed to happen. Wake up the same complaining and sniveling will happen as is happening now. Perhaps from a diff. crowd. None the less the same ol’ boo-hoo will be going on.

To put all the blame on one person is nothing more than an excuse to thinking. Are you one of those who bought a home that was completely beyond your means? Who’s fault is/ was that?

You want change?  Change yourself! Start by being accountable for own actions.

Don’t like the government? Then what you are saying to me is you don’t like yourself. The so called doom and or damnation of this united landscape is the obvious division. It is rotting at the core.

Good job everybody!  A government for the people and by the people. Makes total sense that Washington D.C. is a giant cluster fuck! Just listen to all the non-sense the voters spew out in great quantity.

P.S.
I'm not exactly sure what it is evrybody wants, but I think it boils down to the basics across the board. Shelter, some healthy grub, and a safe place to call home. After that it's all gravy.
