Look behind the curtain.

“It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide …”
~Joseph Stalin

I’ve watched many a things over the few/many decades on this rock. I have decided that, for me, politicians are not worthy of any attention. I don’t care what side of the aisle they say they are from. It is of no actual relevance. Why? One might ask…

For the most part, at all levels, politicians are a bunch of micro-managing pains in the arse to somebody not of the majority. (Whatever the “majority” means anymore.) Politicians are a perfect example of human meddling. Humans that have control issues, looking to control others. That is truly their agenda; to control you. (AND it is working.) Vote for them or not, they will intrude into your life and tell you that you need to be lead.

“Don’t vote, it just encourages the bastards.” ~PJ O’Rourke.

Incumbents, newly-elected, it makes no difference. They are about imposing their point of views, their beliefs on you. Politicians are the ultimate example of the Peter Principal. They rise to their level of incompetence.

I have watched the incompetent get promoted with regularity; it’s everywhere. They suffer from delusions of grandeur and mostly are a large fraternity of narcissists. Is that who you want “leading” ??? I can only conclude that yes, you do. You keep voting for them.

If common sense prevailed, would we have to keep the perpetual  “Forever Argument” ~CJH , going? I don’t think so. Of course, I am just one voice. A voice that questions mediocrity whenever it shows itself. Politicians fit the description. They don’t impress me. Maybe it is, in part, the unsettling prospect to watch those behind you in years, or your peers, rise to seats of power and then act like the children you most remember them being. Children and their tantrums when they don’t get their way. I am done participating in a two party system that has the game rigged for no third party or fourth, fifth etc. etc. etc.

I’m done listening to the whiners about “fair share” until they look at all facets of society. For example, the churches of the this nation no longer deserve, nor should be allowed tax exemption. What makes them exempt? Why should any organization be exempt? They take in income, people profit and don’t pay a tax? Why? Why are people not screaming about that with the same vim and vigor they scream about wealthy people hiding behind tax laws that the politicians keep in place? Again, some politicians’ agenda was crammed down the throats of the voter like it or not. Recall PJ O’Rourke?

It’s all a game and I’m not impressed with the participants.

Sincerely…
 Chris J Hutchins
