"A bunch of posturing that don’t mean poop..."

If politicians truly want to change and reduce over spending. Why are they not taking a, lets say a 25% pay reduction across the board? Both sides of the isles. While we are at it how about cutting their (govt.) health care by 50% !?!?

Nope you will never hear any of those so called do goobers asking for cuts out their pocket. So please spare me the rhetoric about over spending “Democrats” Lets have some real cuts! Tax cuts for the voters can start in all houses of government. But nobody seems to ask for those cuts. Elected officials will cut you off at the knees first every time. Cut all the congress and the senates pay by 25% and then cut their bloated medical benefits by 50%. Bah!!! Will never happen. Or can it?

Wake up people!!! The elected officials that are crying about over spending are part of the problem, of the overspending. Rip their salaries, rip their benefits first. Force them to take big hits, they want to cut your throat. How about we the voter cut their throats/ pocket books. Prove it to the middle class and the poor that you care about overspending. Demand pay and benefit cuts for all elected officials!

No? So lets just keep going after the voter... Scare the voter about health programs for the poor and middle class. While keeping the attention off of the bloated pay and health care that is paid from the voters and non voters tax dollars.

Trample on the rights of organized labor. If this is in fact a free country… Nobody should be able to tell the worker/ voters whether or not they can organize. A organized work force is a dangerous proposition for the politicians that are about lining their own pockets. Of course they make a nice target. The folks that work in places with out any union to back them are pitted against people that figured it out and saw the need for unions.

Personally I think both sides are being doped up, by the fear factor and not actually looking the wasteful government spending that truly goes on. Stop looking at your neighbor that is pumping gas, or whatever as your enemy. Look at the elected officials that cry and whip up fear as your enemy. Examine their income. You might just start to see the true waste in your tax dollars.

Cut the bloated politicians salary and medical care and I will get on board for some actual change and or revolution. Until then all a bunch of posturing that don’t mean poop.

As usual you're spot on, Chris!
I see the spectacle of nearly all the political conversations as utter mystification intended to keep the electorate foaming at the mouth over one cultural war or another... one more false priority masking a more honest assessment of reforms, changes, or a clearer view of the corruption and greed that is largely at the root of society's ills. Although once and a while there are cracks that reveal the hypocrisy for exactly what it is; the classic two-faced ruse of politicians and their diversions.
All of this sham-speak regarding deficit reduction and austerity is the silliest of political deception and deflection, targeting services that benefit the middle class and the poor as opposed to the glaring reality of how this country's resources are spent on imperialist war... war against not only other nations/corporations... but against the very citizens who they pretend to represent.
Often I feel alone and discouraged viewing the daily barrage of misinformation and confusion, which in turn sometimes confuses me. that's why it's great to see a passionate individual like yourself pulling back the wizard's curtain!
Cheers,
