I am reminded of a Alfred Hitchcock quote…

Question: Mr. Hitchcock what scares you the most?

Alfred Hitchcock: “A policeman.”

“Even a mule figures out eventually that, that carrot is hanging on a stick. Sometimes a swift kick to the one holding that stick over my head is what is needed.”   Chris J Hutchins

Carve wood in the city of Seattle and get fatally shot. So it seems in the city of Seattle carving on a piece of wood is grounds for execution. If this offends anyone in the Seattle Police Department. (SPD) Well golly gee, police officers killing the citizens offends me. It should offend you.

The city of Seattle along with King county should be ashamed of itself today. My outrage over this has been simmering for a while. I had hopes that the investigation would show the facts and as a result of those facts, would show whether or not there would be a basis for the prosecution of a murderer. But noooo!!! This whole thing stinks of double standards… It stinks and what we have here is a cop that messed up and is not being held accountable to the same law of the land as you and I would be.

I had hope that justice would prevail and that the SPD would get the message that by opening fire this officer, (Pfft he doesn’t deserve the title) would be an example of how not to “Protect & Serve”. It goes to what I tell people all the time never call the police. You risk becoming a suspect of their paranoid illusions of power. They are jaded they are tired and they don’t believe you. They suspect “you” first.

I’m not sorry to anyone who may get offended by my position or my absolute disrespect for the SPD. A lot of it goes to another thing I stand by… “You get what you pay for.” The police on the street don’t make much money. Hence an ill-equipped under staffed under trained trigger happy police force. ‘Brav- effing- o.’ The SPD and King County along with the over paid mayor should be ashamed of themselves. I bet a new penny they are not. (That is all I can afford for those who are thinking about suing for slander)

I ask again, what in the Sam Hill does the mayor do, that is worth $160k? The city council the mayor all get paid very well. While their under paid police force runs rampant in the street. When the investigation showed that the shooting was not justified charges should have followed. Not here, not in Seattle. The police are supposed to be trained professionals I venture to say that this incident is a mere tip of the iceberg of the failings of the SPD. Nothing actually that surprising.

Look if the shooting was done by “You,” the average citizen you would not have had the privilege of a review board. You would have been locked up. If you had a job you would have not been not getting paid. This guy is still getting paid. If you were lucky you might make bail, otherwise you would have been sitting in jail given an overworked public defender who would know next to nothing about small arms. You would face some county assistant DA. With career goals that would cause them to work very hard and quickly at having you convicted. That is the facts.

This “police officer” kept his salary after firing his weapon, (lets not forget fatally) then got a panel of experienced people with the use of small arms and they concluded the shooting was not justified. The cop got a lot of breaks and despite the facts of the case… A dead person for one. He is still not being charged? Why?

If an off duty police officer was brandishing a small blade and I opened fire and killed the police officer do you think for one minute they would not make a shinning example of me. You bet your remote control there would have been swift justice. No review board.

Look the cop messed up. He should be and should have been treated the same way as any citizen that opened fire and killed somebody. Well we know that is not the case and here we are, yet some more grains of gun powder have been added to the powder keg that is just itching to blow up… Dog help us all, please dog, this double standard of law needs to stop.

What if I and others were to march and protest to the point that city was shut down. Would we get shot? Would we be arrested? If so, for what? Displaying a point of view that challenges the charade of authority?

I can hear the rhetoric already. Unlawful assembly. Creating a public nuisance. Endangering the safety of innocent by standers. Loitering. Dog help anyone carrying a small blade that might be used for some sort of art work. It has now been proven that it will be grounds for execution by the judge jury and executioner a.k.a. SPD. With the backing of the mayor and the county prosecuting office. Yes I said execution. Because that is what it was. The cop made a mistake and executed the witness/ victim. One less voice of opposition is it not?

It is my advice to anyone that is stopped by the SPD. Always have a witness don’t travel alone if you can help it. It is not safe. Have the name of a lawyer at the ready. Never answer any questions the SPD may ask you. Always demand a lawyer present. If you are not placed under arrest leave. If they detain you demand your lawyer immediately. Question them, never answer them. If pulled over in your motor vehicle at night always continue to a well lit place with people. Drive slowly and carefully so that the dash camera shows you are not attempting to evade. If you can invest in a dash camera as well as a camera that shows what is behind you. They have cameras you should as well. Always get badge numbers. And again never answer any questions. Especially if you are alone and have no witness to corroborate your side of the story.

They have pepper spray, they have tasers, they have clubs and most importantly they have fully loaded semi automatic pistols. In other words they can kill you. You have rights. They don’t like that. They hate most of all an educated target. Always be on guard. Welcome to Seattle.

Do not fall prey to the tactics of the SPD. They have proven to be above the laws that you and I are under.

Washington state law for police is not the same as it is for you and me. The law needs to change and right now! Officers are justified to use deadly force if they “Feel” that it is warranted... The law is wrong, officers are human not robots. They operate from an emotional response. That is the human condition. You want more “un justified ” because a person “felt” justified in his or her action of murder? At the least voluntary manslaughter.

The mayor is running away from any accountability. The fire arms review board condemned the shooting. The “officer” that killed the wood carver has no accountability. The rules are different for the so called “servants” This is an abomination.

The SPD is dilly dallying about this employees status??? How about he be fined for fraud and pay back his pay while under administration leave? Hell no that won’t happen the political climate has no courage to make an example of a SPD contract killer. He was under contract with his labor agreement he was a employee of the City of Seattle govt. armed and exonerated for killing a citizen of Seattle. That is a contract killer. Deal with it.

Please if anyone is about to give a big huge zippity skip for the police and all they do. Spare me. Having been falsely accused and subjected to the SPD tactics and seen their brilliance you won’t be changing my mind on this particular city police force. At least not under the current regime of SPD.

In closing, if an emergency happens always call the fire dept. they do not show up with guns. If you have a cell phone and the police are about to stop you take pictures, call the fire dept. Call somebody and leave the line open so the other end can at least hear what is going on. You own your cell phone records they are not difficult to obtain. Do not face the SPD alone it is not safe and could cost you your life. Sadly we live in an age where what we once thought was safe is now more dangerous then you may have imagined. They can kill you if they “feel” you are a threat. Once your dead your feelings won’t be heard. Only the executioners. As Bob Dylan once said “How does it feel… To be on your own?”
