Life partner…

Why is it if I say life partner, others start to judge harshly or more importantly… Wrongly? Simply by the term life partner?

I speak of my life partner often. My life partner is the one I turn to in times of glad tidings, or despair as well as in times of wonder. I speak of having a life partner and give such a title because that is how I see our relationship in every way. My lover, my friend, my fellow prankster, my life partner. The person I have chosen to share my life with. The person who shares in my happiness. I share in my life partners as well. I am grateful to see every aspect of my life partner. It is a partnership.

I have run into the situation of misunderstanding. Of course many misunderstand that being happy is described in many words. I am happy with my life partner. I much prefer the term life partner as opposed to any objectifying terms, such as “my wife’ or “my husband.” People are not property. Yet society in some realms seem to have a need to objectify the people around them in the words they use to describe them. I don’t get it. Perhaps if we shed the objectifying language and use real words to describe ourselves. Along with those around us, we might break down more barriers that form groups of misunderstanding.

I have witnessed people who objectify and berate the one they claim devotion and love for. I also hear the terms that relegate the other person into an inanimate object. Terms that minimize their human aspect. Hardly partners. More like one is the boss the other a subject to the whims of the dominate force of old ideas. Lacking respect and equality. Seen it, lived it, will never do it again. May others break the cycle and find their path to happiness. Where ever it may lead.
When I speak of my life partner… It is in these terms I prefer. Why? Because my partner is not an object to be referred to as an object much like we do a plant or a car. My partner is the one I chose to share life with as did they choose to live along side of me. Now as you have read along in this. Are you asking questions? Are you wondering if I am happy? Yes I am, and I am happy due to the fact that I have a life partner who accepts me as I accept them. I respect any one who has the same ability to accept people for who they are.

I think our society is confused. The evolution of our society is stymied by words. Or should I say the distortion of words. The distortion of meaning. My life partner and I speak in very clear and simple terms. If we speak in vague distorted terms we exchange our thoughts immediately about it. We come to terms of language that helps us both communicate clearly. No misunderstanding stands between us. That is how life partners work. In my humble opinion. Wouldn’t it be grand if we all could do the same?

The term life partner is a term of devotion and love. Well at least it is here in our home. If somebody has found love they have found a moment in time. One that can carry on for a very long period of time based on clocks and calendars or it could possibly be fleeting. A moment where they are at ease and safe. What difference does it make if the description of that person is simply called a life partner? The more happy people we have inhabiting this planet the more we can expect to grow and move along.

I love my life partner… I cherish each moment we share together as one, and those moments we long to reunite. My partner is there for me as I am there for my partner. If these terms make you shudder I have to wonder why? Why should anybody shudder if two people have made a life based on their devotion to one another. Celebrate their happiness.

This has been on my mind a lot lately and will be later I am sure. I shared it with the hope it helps shed some light for somebody as they continue on their path of evolution.

"A bunch of posturing that don’t mean poop..."

If politicians truly want to change and reduce over spending. Why are they not taking a, lets say a 25% pay reduction across the board? Both sides of the isles. While we are at it how about cutting their (govt.) health care by 50% !?!?

Nope you will never hear any of those so called do goobers asking for cuts out their pocket. So please spare me the rhetoric about over spending “Democrats” Lets have some real cuts! Tax cuts for the voters can start in all houses of government. But nobody seems to ask for those cuts. Elected officials will cut you off at the knees first every time. Cut all the congress and the senates pay by 25% and then cut their bloated medical benefits by 50%. Bah!!! Will never happen. Or can it?

Wake up people!!! The elected officials that are crying about over spending are part of the problem, of the overspending. Rip their salaries, rip their benefits first. Force them to take big hits, they want to cut your throat. How about we the voter cut their throats/ pocket books. Prove it to the middle class and the poor that you care about overspending. Demand pay and benefit cuts for all elected officials!

No? So lets just keep going after the voter... Scare the voter about health programs for the poor and middle class. While keeping the attention off of the bloated pay and health care that is paid from the voters and non voters tax dollars.

Trample on the rights of organized labor. If this is in fact a free country… Nobody should be able to tell the worker/ voters whether or not they can organize. A organized work force is a dangerous proposition for the politicians that are about lining their own pockets. Of course they make a nice target. The folks that work in places with out any union to back them are pitted against people that figured it out and saw the need for unions.

Personally I think both sides are being doped up, by the fear factor and not actually looking the wasteful government spending that truly goes on. Stop looking at your neighbor that is pumping gas, or whatever as your enemy. Look at the elected officials that cry and whip up fear as your enemy. Examine their income. You might just start to see the true waste in your tax dollars.

Cut the bloated politicians salary and medical care and I will get on board for some actual change and or revolution. Until then all a bunch of posturing that don’t mean poop.

In the end it was about money. Money and damage control.

The lawyer that represented me in the case described (in part) is now filing for receivership and has been disbarred. By the state bar association. I warned everybody years ago this was not somebody to be trusted… These are excerpts from a new book I have been working on for the last year and a half…

“Arguing with lawyers is like kill or be killed, either compromise your integrity or compromise your soul, to get to that final victory line of proving to be right, by wearing down your lawyer or the defendants lawyer…”

“It never ceased to amaze me how the fucking lawyers would not pay attention to the details of the story… They missed the dates, they jumped all around like a serious attention deficit disorder. Documents were sent over and over asking for my signature on interrogatories, that were false miss leading and subject to being tore apart by the defense lawyers…”

“Having to fight with my own fricken lawyers about the defense’s strategy to rip my character apart, and to sit thru a deposition where many hours were nothing more then a thinly veiled attempt at attacking my moral character… ( Who I slept with how many at the same time etc. etc. etc. an investigation of my sexual behaviors and with who…) My lawyer, never objecting. Allowing the defense to waste precious time looking at my sexual exploits.

My lawyer dropped the ball he allowed the defense to go way off the matter at hand. Not one objection during the questioning, not one… Putz. Instead of keeping the focus on the charges against their client, the company. (At about 4k a hour with the combined teams at the table. For over 9 hours.)

The closing question was the best… and the realization that they were dealing with a case of dynamite… “What is you want? We mean why are you looking to sue a multi billion dollar a year corporation? What is your goal?” I answered the question, with a sullen cool… “To go to open court… To get the story out onto the public record, of all the crimes that were committed… To go public.” The defense lawyers ended the deposition after exactly five seconds of deafening silence. They folded all their little files and walked out very quickly. All they had to do was ask that at eight o’clock in the morning. Would have saved their client a whole bunch of money. I suppose my closing statement is why I was suddenly the primary focus of attacks for the next two and a half years... I didn’t care, bring em’ on I said…”

“Lawyers are great, when you have to stand before some dried out old judge that is bored out of their mind by the deluge of non sensi-cle cases that go across the bench on a daily basis. The Lawyer offers a sense of order. Well for the judge. The client is simply having faith that the lawyer is going to look out for the clients best interest…”

“The lawyers that represented me in the law suit, were evasive, they had a difficult time with the truth… In turn that means they found me difficult to deal with simply due to the fact, I would not allow any twisting of words to fit their quick agenda of settlement.

I was demanding public trial from day one. The attitude was simple, cash did not matter as much as the truth. Well not to me. Hard to convince people of that noble idealism when the numbers being tossed around are in the seven figure range…”

“The lawyers were always looking for an angle to better line their pockets, they wore their souls on their sleeves and all they were interested in was money. That is both sides folks. The defense runs up the hours against their client. The Plaintiffs lawyer is supposed to be working pro bono, so they complain everyday about they are going broke... Hence their urgency to settle rather then go into a court proceedings.” (Same said plaintiff lawyer embezzled many, many dollars from multiple clients and hence his recently being disbarred)

Neither side had any real interest in flushing out the truth and making sure that some sort of justice would prevail. It was nothing more then posturing on their part. In the end the lawyers got a bunch of money for services never rendered. My own lawyers were afraid to go into court and risk it all. Personally I think it was due to their lack of courage. They lacked the conviction that one has when the truth is on your side. Despite our inside knowledge that the defendants firm were not trial attorneys…”

“Due to my closing statement I was concerned about the lack of defense I was getting from the hired guns on my side. All I got was, strongly urged to move into a high security building. I was also advised by the team to vary the way I drove to and from work. To never answer any questions from strangers. It got really sick for a while.

The other plaintiffs were not under the microscope to the degree I was. They would talk to me and be very confused as to why my personal life was under such scrutiny? It confused and clouded the case. It was making the lawyers angry as well as it did me. Sadly my team of lawyers were not as proactive in putting a cease and desist order out their…”

“I spoke my mind I did not hold back, I truly thought that the thrust of the charges was about the civil rights violations, and the threats to our physical safety. In the end it was about money. Money and damage control.”

I am reminded of a Alfred Hitchcock quote…

Question: Mr. Hitchcock what scares you the most?

Alfred Hitchcock: “A policeman.”

“Even a mule figures out eventually that, that carrot is hanging on a stick. Sometimes a swift kick to the one holding that stick over my head is what is needed.”   Chris J Hutchins

Carve wood in the city of Seattle and get fatally shot. So it seems in the city of Seattle carving on a piece of wood is grounds for execution. If this offends anyone in the Seattle Police Department. (SPD) Well golly gee, police officers killing the citizens offends me. It should offend you.

The city of Seattle along with King county should be ashamed of itself today. My outrage over this has been simmering for a while. I had hopes that the investigation would show the facts and as a result of those facts, would show whether or not there would be a basis for the prosecution of a murderer. But noooo!!! This whole thing stinks of double standards… It stinks and what we have here is a cop that messed up and is not being held accountable to the same law of the land as you and I would be.

I had hope that justice would prevail and that the SPD would get the message that by opening fire this officer, (Pfft he doesn’t deserve the title) would be an example of how not to “Protect & Serve”. It goes to what I tell people all the time never call the police. You risk becoming a suspect of their paranoid illusions of power. They are jaded they are tired and they don’t believe you. They suspect “you” first.

I’m not sorry to anyone who may get offended by my position or my absolute disrespect for the SPD. A lot of it goes to another thing I stand by… “You get what you pay for.” The police on the street don’t make much money. Hence an ill-equipped under staffed under trained trigger happy police force. ‘Brav- effing- o.’ The SPD and King County along with the over paid mayor should be ashamed of themselves. I bet a new penny they are not. (That is all I can afford for those who are thinking about suing for slander)

I ask again, what in the Sam Hill does the mayor do, that is worth $160k? The city council the mayor all get paid very well. While their under paid police force runs rampant in the street. When the investigation showed that the shooting was not justified charges should have followed. Not here, not in Seattle. The police are supposed to be trained professionals I venture to say that this incident is a mere tip of the iceberg of the failings of the SPD. Nothing actually that surprising.

Look if the shooting was done by “You,” the average citizen you would not have had the privilege of a review board. You would have been locked up. If you had a job you would have not been not getting paid. This guy is still getting paid. If you were lucky you might make bail, otherwise you would have been sitting in jail given an overworked public defender who would know next to nothing about small arms. You would face some county assistant DA. With career goals that would cause them to work very hard and quickly at having you convicted. That is the facts.

This “police officer” kept his salary after firing his weapon, (lets not forget fatally) then got a panel of experienced people with the use of small arms and they concluded the shooting was not justified. The cop got a lot of breaks and despite the facts of the case… A dead person for one. He is still not being charged? Why?

If an off duty police officer was brandishing a small blade and I opened fire and killed the police officer do you think for one minute they would not make a shinning example of me. You bet your remote control there would have been swift justice. No review board.

Look the cop messed up. He should be and should have been treated the same way as any citizen that opened fire and killed somebody. Well we know that is not the case and here we are, yet some more grains of gun powder have been added to the powder keg that is just itching to blow up… Dog help us all, please dog, this double standard of law needs to stop.

What if I and others were to march and protest to the point that city was shut down. Would we get shot? Would we be arrested? If so, for what? Displaying a point of view that challenges the charade of authority?

I can hear the rhetoric already. Unlawful assembly. Creating a public nuisance. Endangering the safety of innocent by standers. Loitering. Dog help anyone carrying a small blade that might be used for some sort of art work. It has now been proven that it will be grounds for execution by the judge jury and executioner a.k.a. SPD. With the backing of the mayor and the county prosecuting office. Yes I said execution. Because that is what it was. The cop made a mistake and executed the witness/ victim. One less voice of opposition is it not?

It is my advice to anyone that is stopped by the SPD. Always have a witness don’t travel alone if you can help it. It is not safe. Have the name of a lawyer at the ready. Never answer any questions the SPD may ask you. Always demand a lawyer present. If you are not placed under arrest leave. If they detain you demand your lawyer immediately. Question them, never answer them. If pulled over in your motor vehicle at night always continue to a well lit place with people. Drive slowly and carefully so that the dash camera shows you are not attempting to evade. If you can invest in a dash camera as well as a camera that shows what is behind you. They have cameras you should as well. Always get badge numbers. And again never answer any questions. Especially if you are alone and have no witness to corroborate your side of the story.

They have pepper spray, they have tasers, they have clubs and most importantly they have fully loaded semi automatic pistols. In other words they can kill you. You have rights. They don’t like that. They hate most of all an educated target. Always be on guard. Welcome to Seattle.

Do not fall prey to the tactics of the SPD. They have proven to be above the laws that you and I are under.

Washington state law for police is not the same as it is for you and me. The law needs to change and right now! Officers are justified to use deadly force if they “Feel” that it is warranted... The law is wrong, officers are human not robots. They operate from an emotional response. That is the human condition. You want more “un justified ” because a person “felt” justified in his or her action of murder? At the least voluntary manslaughter.

The mayor is running away from any accountability. The fire arms review board condemned the shooting. The “officer” that killed the wood carver has no accountability. The rules are different for the so called “servants” This is an abomination.

The SPD is dilly dallying about this employees status??? How about he be fined for fraud and pay back his pay while under administration leave? Hell no that won’t happen the political climate has no courage to make an example of a SPD contract killer. He was under contract with his labor agreement he was a employee of the City of Seattle govt. armed and exonerated for killing a citizen of Seattle. That is a contract killer. Deal with it.

Please if anyone is about to give a big huge zippity skip for the police and all they do. Spare me. Having been falsely accused and subjected to the SPD tactics and seen their brilliance you won’t be changing my mind on this particular city police force. At least not under the current regime of SPD.

In closing, if an emergency happens always call the fire dept. they do not show up with guns. If you have a cell phone and the police are about to stop you take pictures, call the fire dept. Call somebody and leave the line open so the other end can at least hear what is going on. You own your cell phone records they are not difficult to obtain. Do not face the SPD alone it is not safe and could cost you your life. Sadly we live in an age where what we once thought was safe is now more dangerous then you may have imagined. They can kill you if they “feel” you are a threat. Once your dead your feelings won’t be heard. Only the executioners. As Bob Dylan once said “How does it feel… To be on your own?”

The days blend along. Not woven just bleed together.

How many times did I pass thru the looking glass before I realized that what I once knew as truth was nothing but a series of fabrications. Designed to lull everyone into a trance. Now that e trance is broken have I merely changed seats on an already sinking ship? Is this simply another trance yet broken?

Was asked the other day… “Do you believe in miracles?” Response: “After all the crud I have done to myself over the years and had happen to me… and I get asked that question? The fricken miracle is I still get to answer it! Uhh that would be "yes.”

The last time I was that much of a daredevil I dared the devil. Pfft! Silly devil was a wanker. I was not impressed. You could say I poured a glass of ice water all over his sorry butt.

**I like options. It helps me dither with out too much guilt.**

Was asked the other day… “What do you think of the bible?” Response: “I have no problem with the book. The problem is those who read from this particular collection of stories and spread their ‘interpretation‘ of it. I see them as a Bible distortionist. Read it for your self make up your own mind.”

Rather than bicker about what side said what etc. etc. How about confront the truth? Perhaps when the hungry out number the pacified. After seeing something such as this I wonder why governments would think of controlling the internet? Bah no matter I still got cable.

Natural selection? Thinning of the herd, hmm??? Perhaps not what is next but rather, whom? Who?

Saw on the news the other night that blame has been assigned for the BP oil disaster. Whoopee! No surprise about who did it. The point is lost when looking for blame. The point is to not let it happen again and is there a way to clean up the mess?

It will be many years or generations before all the data is in. I think the birds & the fish could very well be the result of the toxic sludge. Not only from the gulf but as stated above, from all the toxic ways of living that gets belched into the air and water everyday.

After wiping out indigenous peoples that were in tune with living with earth. The past assassins handed their offspring a legacy of greed and destruction. Blindly many followed their greedy lessons and now those that sit in positions of wealth and pull the strings continue to turn their eyes and ears away from their responsibility. They will write a check for pennies on the dollar, to the figure heads that sit on boards of confusion and regulation, when it is over.

Mean while a gallon of fuel will go up in price. While all the goods and services go up because of the ever rising fuel costs. Figure heads will talk tough to pacify those who could potentially organize and rise up to the ruling class. It is a juggling act that they are very good at.

The fact is we just do not know as of yet. But if we don’t ponder and think that it is simply all cleaned up and all over scares some including me more than anything.
A mess of that magnitude does not just go away. Like it, disagree with it or not where did all that oil go? It was absorbed by not just the skimmers.

I understand the skepticism. I do. But when one begins to see how things are all interconnected it can be rather daunting. To suggest that the spill, the multiple days of the crude being pumped into the gulf waters had little nor any long lasting effect seems rather simple. Sometimes life is simply not that simple. I wish it was.

***
Not sure. I don’t recall hearing as much as I did that annoying unfinished sentence, “Just saying…” Saying what for crying out loud. Jeebus finish the fricken sentence.

Another couple of phrases that is tired to me that is… “Really?” “Seriously?” When ever those phrases get tossed in my direction I wonder why is it they are asking that? If I start to explain they usually cut me off and say… “Yeah, yeah, I know, I believe it’s just… Really???”

***
True story… Had this “high” school teacher who was probably in his mid 30’s this was back in the early eighties. He got rather annoyed with me. (no surprise I know) I was, shall we say not very punctual for his class. In his attempt to set me on the right path he said one day… “Mr. Hutchins you obviously can tell time, I know this because judging by your state of mind you are never late to meet the person who is selling you the marijuana that you always seem to smell of when ever you are late for my class. Now stop being late you have no excuse, your watch obviously is working.” This was prior to Nancy Reagan’s “Just say no” stuff. “High” school it mostly went up in smoke.

Hand me the remote got some catch up to with that show about real housewives.

PT. 2 of what rights do sexual predators have?

It should be noted that after some further checking. These “criminals” are treated differently than the other prisoners. In some cases here in the state of Washington they are segregated from the general population. I call Nonsense! Let them mingle with the other prisoners for the 30 years that I suggested be imposed.

Why would the state be taking extra precautions for these criminals? If a convicted marijuana dealer has to mingle with the general population let the sexual predators mingle as well.

Where the hell is the GOP on this issue why are they not outraged? As opposed to attempting to re-define the meaning of rape.

Geeezum Crow on a corn dog! Where is the right wing on this? These convicted sexual predators are being handled with extra protection from the tax payers. Where is the outrage?

Sexual predators… What rights do they have?

I am opposed to violence... However in dealing with sexual predators… What would you suggest? How about this?

Once convicted first offense should be a minimum of 30 years to life. No option for parole. No parole hearings nothing the convicted does the thirty years. Before any possibility of a parole board hearing. With the possibility that the convicted may not get paroled.

Wesley Allen Dodd said before his execution, that he resorted to killing his victims to avoid capture so that he would stop having to deal with going to more rehabilitation courses. He said the courses were of no use. So his logic took him to the next level of abuse against his victims. Wesley Allen Dodd’s story should be required reading for anyone asking questions that pertain to this subject. It truly revealed how the mind of a predator works. Chilling, sobering, it pushed all the B.S. aside. He called out all the predators onto the carpet with his confessions. He clearly pointed out that the system failed and is flawed. Hence why after one conviction… See ya’ in 30 years ‘if’ you survive prison.

If the convicted sexual predator does manage to serve the thirty years and gets out and is convicted a second time. Life without the possibility for parole. End of story. Debating the death penalty is tiresome due to the fact that the death penalty simply will not prevent anything. That has been proven. Simply look at the murder rate. Not to mention that it allows the predator an out.

The problem is almost all sexual predators are simply wired wrong. They can not be trusted nor expected to change who they are. Anymore than one could tell me I was to change my sexual orientation because tomorrow it will be against the law. Absolute nonsense… Think about it for a minute, your sexual orientation is now against the law tomorrow. So how do you shut off the mechanism in your brain that dictates what you are sexually aroused by. See what I am getting at?

I am not passing any judgment on consenting adults. Adults means over the age of 18. That does mean that woman who go after under age boys are subject to the same guidelines. Across the board once concessions start being made based on gender we go back to the ineffective system that allows predators to roam free in society.

Just to clear this up and to point it out again. “No” “Stop” “Don’t” is not to be ignored. Once it is said out loud it is no longer two consenting adults. It has changed to a crime... The consequences for that crime need to be harsh. Otherwise the passive system of justice will continue to look the other way. The victim will be minimized again and again. Resulting in fear to even report the crime.

The notion that a rape victim was asking to be traumatized is absolutely appalling to me. Nobody asks to be tortured. I am not sure what is worse the notion that the victim asked for it or the people who suggest it and believe it. That sounds like the rationalization the predator makes prior to their victimizing the object of their abuse.

So it is my humble, along with outraged opinion that sexual predators have no place in society. The idea that laws could be relaxed on the definition of rape should have the citizens in the street. We should be crying out for stricter laws that put sexual predators away and out of society. There simply is no excuse for a so called civilized society to allow the leniency that the laws currently do. It is absolute madness.

If you’re a parent what would you do if your child was attacked? What if your partner / spouse was attacked? A relative? A friend? Would you truly think that the attacker should be allowed a pass, or two, three, four?

If you think I am not being very compassionate, please note I did not suggest torturing the predator nor did I suggest killing them. I suggested removing them from free society. After all what freedoms should a sexual predator have any way. They demonstrate time and time again that they have no regard for their victims freedom.
